TOTAL THIS

Sorry, you lose. Here's how to prove it to yourself. Say you make up a table with three names that shows the sales figures for the months of April, May, and June. Let's suppose you enter your numbers in cells B1..B3, C1..C3, and D1..D3. Go to cell A5 and type Total

When you press one of the arrow keys, 1-2-3 automatically places the Sum formula in cells B5, C5, and D5. You don't need to type the @sum formula; 1-2-3 takes care of the job for you.
