A QUESTION THAT COUNTS

"Does Excel's COUNTIF function work within a list of selected cells as opposed to a range of cells?"

It doesn't look that way. Excel lets you specify multiple cells or ranges as you build the COUNTIF formula, but it flashes an error message telling you that you've entered too many values when you finally try to enter the formula.

If anyone out there knows of a way to work around this limitation, please send it in, and we'll go public with it.
